Continuing his love of writing, Allen Sparkman has had three articles accepted for publication.
On November 17, 2017, the American University Business Law Review accepted “Uniform Protected Series Act—A Welcome Advance in Series LLC Legislation,” available at https://ssrn.com/abstract=3072760. In that article, Allen notes again his view that no one has yet presented a compelling argument for why a state should adopt series LLC legislation.
On January 6, 2018, the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal accepted “Should Texas Adopt All or Part of the Uniform Protected Series Act,” available at https://ssrn.com/abstarct=308474. In that article, Allen expresses the view that the Uniform Protected Series Act contains several features that should be considered for adoption by a state like Texas that already has series LLC legislation.
On January 4, 2018, The University of Missouri School of Law Business, Entrepreneurship & Tax Law Review accepted “Information Rights—A Survey,” available at https:/ssrn.com/abstract=3096698. With respect to this paper, Tom Rutledge, a partner of Stoll, Keenon, Ogden PLLC in its Louisville Kentucky office commented that there was “nothing out there like this compendium and comparison.”
