Community Involvement

Christina Saunders is a partner at Sparkman + Foote LLP, where her practice areas include intellectual property, corporate law, and art and entertainment law.

Christina is passionate about startups, entrepreneurship and the arts. Christina counsels on a variety of general corporate and business issues for both emerging startup companies and established businesses and their owners. Christina regularly advises clients in areas of businesses formation, organization, operation, and dissolution or sales, which often includes counsel in areas of securities, franchise law, regulatory law, contract law, employment law, marijuana law, Internet and intellectual property law. Her clients represent a variety of industries, including but not limited to technology, e-commerce, medical, financial, cannabis, advertising and marketing, and non-profit. Christina maintains a special emphasis in her practice working with artists and creative enterprises.

Christina also regularly advises individuals and businesses on their intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademark, and trade secret issues. Christina is experienced in negotiating, obtaining, registering, transferring, licensing and commercializing upon intellectual property assets for her clients. Additionally, she is recognized for her substantial experience in representing defendants in mass BitTorrent protocol lawsuits.

Christina has spoken nationally and published on her work with startups, intellectual property and in the arts.

Christina presently serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Intellectual Property American Inn of Court, where she chairs the Community Outreach Committee, and is Chair of the Board of Directors at The Gathering Place, and Chair of TGP’s Board Development Committee.

Christina was named amongst the Top 25 Young Professionals in Colorado by ColoradoBiz Magazine (2010), and has been selected consecutively by  Colorado Super Lawyers® as a Rising Star in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, a recognition awarded to no more than 2.5% of attorneys in the state.

Christina holds a Bachelors in Arts, cum laude, from Bates College in English and Art History, and a Juris Doctor from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah.

In her free time, Christina enjoys international travel, alpine skiing, including backcountry touring, hiking, camping, practicing yoga,  and attending concerts and art exhibits. In the winter though, you’ll most likely find her on the slopes at Loveland Ski Area where she spends weekends as a volunteer ski patroller.
